MARISA FRANCÉS
Marisa Francés is a lover of yoga, acroyoga, and dance. At the age of five, she began her studies in ballet, flamenco, and contemporary dance at the Professional Dance Conservatory of Xàtiva, where she deepened her training in classical dance. She is also a Barre instructor (a fusion of yoga, ballet, and Pilates).
Her artistic journey, combined with a profound spiritual transformation, led Marisa to recognize the many similarities between her two great passions—ballet and yoga. These connections exist both on a physical level (posture and flexibility) and in the lifestyle they involve, as well as in their potential for meditation and for allowing body and mind to flow. This realization inspired her to train as a Barre teacher, a still-emerging discipline in many places that blends classical dance with yoga and Pilates. It is undoubtedly the result of her curiosity and life project—practices that come together beautifully in a therapeutic way and are accessible to everyone, nourishing one another to offer people what they most need.
She has continued to deepen her yoga practice through other complementary disciplines such as acroyoga.
With great enthusiasm, Marisa joins our festival to offer workshops in yoga for children, family acroyoga, and an introduction to acroyoga for adults.
